Jang Nara And Chansung's Upcoming Drama Currently Stuck In Pre-Production

Jang Nara and 2PM member Chansung’s upcoming drama “Housewife Detective” (tentative title) may be in question of continuing further production.

On April 20, a news outlet reported that “Housewife Detective” has cancelled its production. It explained that there was a problem in the production budget. Even the casts’ agencies reportedly stated that filming has stopped at the moment.

However, the drama production company denied these reports, saying, “It’s not true. We are just discussing the details of the production with the broadcast company. There are also reports that this drama will air after ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ (tentative title), but that is also false.”

As described above, the situation seems to be tangled as both sides are releasing different statements. The drama was originally planned to finish filming in the first half of 2017, and start airing in Korea and other countries simultaneously.

Meanwhile, “Housewife Detective” is about a housewife named Myung Yoo Jin (played by Jang Nara) who becomes a detective. Fans were especially looking forward to seeing Jang Nara act as a mother for the first time and were excited to see her chemistry with Chansung.

More details about this issue may be released later on, but the situation remains unclear for now.
