TV Personality Sam Okyere Responds To Blackface Controversy

Following Hwang Hyun Hee’s controversial response to the recent blackface skit on SBS’s “Comedy Hunter,” popular TV personality Sam Okyere also reacted to the racist skit.

On April 24, Sam Okyere posted a screenshot of the blackface skit on his personal Instagram account. After writing a message in English, he added in Korean, “It’s painful and annoying whenever I see these things on TV. I really hope this won’t happen again in the future. We need to stop making fun of races! I sincerely want to thank those of you who have cheered me up. We can do this together! Thank you. The color of our skin may be different, but the color of our blood is the same. Fighting to us all!”
