KBS Announces Upcoming Changes To Its Schedule Including New Friday-Saturday Drama Slot

KBS has announced a change in their schedule.

The broadcasting company stated, “KBS 2TV aims to provide a youthful channel for viewers in the ages between 20 and 40, and we will be introducing new programs and schedules in June.”

KBS will be creating a new Friday-Saturday drama slot for its younger viewers. The first project that will take this slot is “Greatest One-Shot” (working title), which will be helmed by producing directors (PD) Seo Soo Min and Yoo Ho Jin. The drama will be Cha Tae Hyun’s debut project as a PD, and will begin airing on June 2 at 11 p.m. KST. “Greatest One-Shot” is a story about youths in their twenties as they navigate through the highs and lows of life.

Not only will there be a new Friday-Saturday drama slot, but “Battle Trip” will also be expanded to be 90 minutes per episode. Originally airing at 10:40 p.m. KST, the show will begin airing at 9:15 p.m. KST for 90 minutes from June 3. KBS stated, “‘Battle Trip’ plans to continue to captivate viewers as an informative and fun travel program that the whole family can enjoy.”

Lastly, “Entertainment Weekly” will be moved from airing on Saturday to Friday. From June 2, the show will air on Fridays at 8:55 p.m. KST.
