BLACKPINK Makes First Ever Appearance On "My Little Television"

BLACKPINK made a rare appearance on a variety show and even scored the most number of viewers during the first half of their live broadcast on “My Little Television”!

On May 20, BLACKPINK, entertainer Kim Gura, singer Jung Joon Young, and FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki and Choi Jong Hun appeared on the live broadcast of “My Little Television.”

BLACKPINK congratulated themselves for finally escaping the “jewel box” of YG Entertainment, an expression used to poke fun at YG artists rarely appearing on TV.

For the live broadcast, the members presented an informative episode about preparing against fine dust (a serious air pollution issue in the country), naming their channel, “Fine Dust in your area.” They showed the harmfulness of fine dust, which could cause illnesses such as conjunctivitis, dementia, hair loss, and even lung cancer. The members were sure to exaggerate their reactions to entertain their viewers.

BLACKPINK went on to show ways to avoid fine dust by introducing masks as a basic method. They even brought an oxygen mask from Japan to show their enthusiasm, and washed a staff’s hair with organic shampoo.

After the first half of the live broadcast, it was revealed that BLACKPINK took first place with the most number of viewers, followed by Kim Gura and Jung Joon Young.
