TWICE Once Again Beats Own Records For Girl Group Album Sales
TWICE has yet again rewritten history as a girl group in terms of album sales.
According to Hanteo Chart on May 23, the group’s newest mini album “Signal” has sold 114,000 albums in the first week since its release on May 15. This means they beat out their previous record of 113,000 albums, which was held by “TWICEcoaster: Lane 2.”
TWICE also marked the highest number of first day sales for a girl group, with 42,000 albums sold. The previous record was also one of their own, as “TWICEcoaster: Lane 1” sold 30,000 albums to earn TWICE this record.
With “Knock Knock” and “Cheer Up” still on the charts, many are looking forward to seeing the continued success of “Signal,” which already placed first on many digital music charts as well just after its release.
