Ailee's "Goblin" OST Continues To Be A Chart King With Its Ongoing Streak On MelOn Chart

The love for “Goblin” and its soundtrack continues on!

As of May 26 at 5 p.m. KST, Ailee’s OST “I Will Go to You Like the First Snow” from the popular tvN drama is currently 14th place on the MelOn music chart. Since its release earlier this year on January 7, the track has never once fallen out of the top 20 on this chart, an extremely rare and impressive occurrence given how long it has been since the end of “Goblin.”

Completely taking over charts from the very beginning, the song has consistently been a popular favorite of listeners, and has defined what it means to be a “long-run” track in 2017. Not only has it maintained a top 20 position on MelOn, but it also continues to rank strongly on the Gaon digital chart as well.

An industry source analyzed the success of the song, and explained, “…it is a ballad that the general public won’t tire of no matter how many times they listen to it…Ailee’s emotional sensibility and lyrics that is suitable to any season appear to have resonated [with listeners].

In addition, other popular OSTs from the drama like, Chanyeol and Punch’s “Stay With me,” Crush’s “Beautiful,” Lasse Lindh’s “Hush,” Eddy Kim’s “You Are So Beautiful,” Sam Kim’s “Who Are You,” and Soyou’s “I Miss You” are also still on the MelOn chart, which cuts off at 100 songs.
