"M!Countdown" Clarifies Why TWICE Is Not A Contender For No. 1 Song This Week

On June 2, Mnet’s “M!Countdown” opened the polls for fans to vote in the first place song for the upcoming broadcast. Fans noticed how TWICE was excluded from the list of candidates and expressed their confusion.

TWICE recently came back with their newest track, “SIGNAL,” which has been receiving so much love. Once TWICE was excluded from the polls, their fans pointed out how it wasn’t fair that the group wasn’t even included on the list and started to flood the site’s forums with complaints.

Following this, “M!Countdown” released a statement which clarified, “Once promotions on our program are over, we can no longer include the artist in the polls.”

Meanwhile, TWICE won first place at “M!Countdown” for the previous two broadcasts.
