Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon Talks About Her Solo Comeback, Dating Advice, And Eating Habits
On June 6, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon appeared on the KBS Cool FM radio show “Lee Soo Ji’s Gayo Plaza” to promote her solo comeback, “Wannabe.”
“The song is about sending a warning to a cheating lover,” she explained. “I think it’s best if a relationship ends cleanly. After spending so much time with a person and building up feelings for them, it’s difficult to do that. ‘Wannabe’ is about wanting to break things off cleanly.”
She added, “But in real life, I can’t do that. I have a hard time seeing a situation for what it is. My members worry about that a lot. When I work, I don’t look around me at all, but when I’m with my members, I joke around a lot. When I date, I like to go all-in without any regrets.”
For this comeback, Hyoyeon teamed up with the rapper San E, who featured on the track. “My members were curious,” she said. “This time I didn’t tell them anything [about my comeback]. They saw the music video and told me it was cool.”
A day earlier, Hyoyeon had appeared on Kangta’s radio show, “Kangta’s Starry Night.” When asked about the eating habits of girl group members, she replied, “I go to regional festivals in order to eat food that’s in season. I like jumbo shrimp, so I like to go to Sorae Port or Yeonan Pier. I like oysters, so I’ve gone to Tongyeong before too.
