According to a report, the debut evaluation song for “Produce 101 Season 2” has been decided on.

On June 7, multiple broadcast sources stated that songwriters/producers Ryan Jhun and The Underdogs will be working with the “Produce 101 Season 2” contestants for their debut evaluation track.

The trainees will be performing their final stage during a live broadcast on June 16, and will be evaluated based on a new song. The song is reportedly a high quality track that is fitting for their debut evaluation stage.

In response, a source from Mnet has refrained from denying or confirming the news report, saying, “Please check out the final debut evaluation song when it is revealed through the live broadcast on June 16.”

Ryan Jhun is a well-known songwriter and producer who wrote multiple K-pop tracks such as SHINee’s “Lucifer,” Taeyeon’s “I,” Red Velvet’s “Dumb Dumb,” and I.O.I’s “Whatta Man.” He also participated in producing “Pick Me,” the theme song for “Produce 101 Season 2.” The Underdogs participated in creating songs such as Girls’ Generation’s “Mr.Mr.” as well as EXO’s “Overdose.”

There are only two weeks left before the final live broadcast of “Produce 101 Season 2,” where 11 trainees will be selected to debut as a new male idol group.

“Produce 101 Season 2” airs every Friday at 11 p.m. KST.
