f(x)'s Krystal Shows Off Otherworldly Beauty As Goddess In New Stills For "Bride Of The Water God"

With the first episode of tvN’s “Bride of The Water God” less than a month away, tvN has been releasing a variety of video teasers and stills to heighten anticipation for the drama.

On June 13, tvN released two new stills of f(x)’s Krystal, who will be playing the second female lead role in the drama. Her character, Mu Ra, is a water goddess from the same realm as Ha Baek (Nam Joo Hyuk) who was dispatched to the human world and has been living amongst humans. Her breathtaking beauty allows her to live as a popular actress in the human world. Despite her cold, charismatic appearance, Mu Ra becomes pure and innocent around Ha Baek, for whom she has harbors a one-sided love.

Krystal stated, “Although my character seems cold and overly sensitive just from appearances, Mu Ra is actually a very wise and charming character. In order to show off all of Mu Ra’s diverse charms, I’ve been focusing on everything from facial expressions and vocal tone to how I walk. Please give ‘Bride of The Water God’ a lot of love.”

“Bride of The Water God” is a fantasy romance about water god Ha Baek, who descends to earth to meet his human bride. Yoon So Ah, played by Shin Se Kyung, is a very pragmatic doctor of psychiatry whose family has been destined to serve the water god for generations, which is how she becomes the bride of the water god.

tvN’s “Bride of The Water God” is a modern adaptation of a popular Korean manhwa of the same title. The drama is set to begin airing on July 3 at 10:50 p.m. KST.
