Ilbe User Apologizes To TWICE's Mina After Posting Death Threat

On June 13, an Ilbe user wrote a post about threatening to kill TWICE’s Mina. Ilbe is an online community with far-right political views that contains disturbing and hate-filled content.

The post included a photo of the user’s hand and a large kitchen knife positioned near the wrist. The user wrote, “If you don’t slap your boyfriend and rip apart his mouth I am going to come kill you.”

While the post has been deleted, screenshots of the post have been spreading online with many worrying about Mina.

The Ilbe user later posted a handwritten apology and wrote, “I wrote the post without considering that it would be a threat to the person directly involved and cause fear. I would like to ask for forgiveness as I pathetically apologize to Mina and TWICE’s fans after belatedly realizing that this resulted in great shock.”

Previously, JYP Entertainment posted an official statement about taking strong legal action against malicious rumors, false statements, defamation, and sexual harassment towards their artists on January 5.
