T-ara Members Shed Tears And Open Up About Their Time Together During Emotional Showcase

T-ara held a showcase for their 13th mini album “What’s My Name” on June 14 and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight as the members teared up multiple times while speaking honestly about their affection for each other.

Qri said, “Though we’ve been through tough times, my desire to not let T-ara go was always greater. I think that’s why I’ve been able to hold on till now. I’ve learned a lot of life lessons as time went on. I have a lot of affection for T-ara and I never want to let T-ara go.”

Eunjung also expressed, “I spent most of my twenties as a member of T-ara, and that time has been so precious to me. I don’t regret it. Though there were difficult times along the way, we received a lot of love, which is also hard to accomplish. I focus more on how grateful I am for the things we’ve received rather than think about the difficult times. Even those times taught me valuable life lessons. I’m grateful for every moment I spent in T-ara.”

Holding back tears, Hyomin added, “Most of my youth was spent as a member of T-ara. I think we all feel like we wouldn’t change that for the world. We talk about that a lot. We don’t have any expectations of being loved going into this.” While she spoke, fellow member Jiyeon was seen wiping tears away.

Eunjung continued Hyomin’s thoughts as she said, “We know that people don’t like us, and we don’t know if we’ll receive any love for this comeback. It isn’t easy to perform knowing you won’t be loved. But I hope people will watch over us. We’ve gone through some changes, but like we always have, we will focus on our singing and dancing to create a good performance.”

The members were also asked how they feel about returning as a four-member group, following the departure of Boram and Soyeon. They replied that the only regret they had was not being able to stand on stage as six members for their fans. They said, “Though we’re sad to see them [Boram and Soyeon] go, we will continue to support them and respect their personal decisions.”

Jiyeon concluded with, “We have so many fans who have believed in us and waited for us, and we want to repay them by doing our best.”

T-ara released their new mini album “What’s My Name” at 6 p.m. KST on June 14 and will start promotional activities for their comeback on June 15 through Mnet’s “M!Countdown.”
