4minute Hyun Ah Addresses Rumors of Dating MBLAQ Lee Joon

4minute’s Hyun Ah publicly denied dating rumors with MBLAQ’s Lee Joon that started surfacing in Korean media lately. Korean media has covered rumors of them dating extensively today following reports of the two being spotted on the same flight from Japan last week.

“That was when Hyun Ah went to Japan with Lee Joon to film for the music video of her new title track. It’s true the two are close friends but they’re not dating each other,” Hyun Ah’s management agency told local media Economic Today.

According to multiple reports, Hyun Ah and Lee Joon were seen sitting next to each other on the flight from Okinawa to Seoul on June 22nd. They reportedly looked very close to each other during the entire two hour flight, making others wonder if the two stars were indeed dating each other.

“Hyun Ah and Lee Joon looked like a college couple, seeming to be in a romantic relationship. Since there weren’t many people in business class, neither wore sunglasses or hoodies,” an official who was on the same flight told local media enews24. Another person on the flight said, “Lee Joon and Hyun Ah just seemed to be having a lot of fun, holding hands and leaning on each other.”

In fact, the two idol singers have made statements in the past alluding to their interest in each other. Last year on SBS radio, Hyun Ah said her ideal male type was Lee Joon, and again on SBS “Quiz Club” recently, she said he was the one she had in her mind lately.

Lee Joon likewise made a similar comment on KBS “Star Golden Bell” last year. He was asked, “How do you feel to be Hyun Ah’s ideal type?” to which he responded, “Hyun Ah of course is the best among all female groups.” The two were also the co-hosts for the “2010 SBS Gayo Awards” and took photos as newlyweds for the show’s poster.

Cube Entertainment added, “The concept of the music video was to show two lovers dating each other. Their intimacy on the flight was basically a set up for the music video. They even took still-cuts during the filming. We were planning to include these still-cuts at the end of the music video in panorama style, but it didn’t blend in well with the overall flow, so we just decided to take it out. I hope people don’t take it the wrong way.”
