Big Bang’s Daesung's Surprising TV Appearance

On yesterday’s episode of MBC’s “Infinite Challenge,” Big Bang’s Daesung made a surprising appearance delighting his fans. His appearance came as a surprise to viewers because Daesung had put a hold onto his activities since his May 31st car accident. His management agency has been reworking both Daesung and Big Bang’s schedule as it would be inappropriate for Daesung to go about his life as a performer until this accident is resolved. While the episode was filmed prior to the accident, many viewers were surprised to see Daesung’s segmet aired, as SBS went on to edit out all of Daesung’s portion in “Night After Night.” Many were not expecting to see Daesung on TV so soon. 

Daesung dropped by as the rest of the “Infinite Challenge” and Big Bang members were discussing various music concepts for the “West Sea Highway Special Kayo Competition.” They were seen having a great time as they laughed and joked with fellow members. While Daesung’s segment brought smiles to his fans, some viewers felt it disrespectful to show Daesung so happy when the victim’s family is still mourning.  

Around 1:30 AM of May 31st, Daesung was involved in a car accident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist. The cause of the motorcyclist’s death is not yet apparent, and Daesung’s punishment will differ depending on the victim’s cause of death. It’ll take another two to three weeks before autopsy results will come out.
