EXO's "Mama" Dance Designed by Usher and Christina Aguilera's Choreographer

New boy groups EXO-K and EXO-M are garnering attention with their powerful choreography for the title song “MAMA.” Both Korean and Chinese versions of “MAMA” music videos were revealed on YouTube on April 8 and reached 3 million in viewership in just about a week.

“MAMA” features Gregorian chant and orchestra sound to emphasize mystic images of EXO and surprises the listeners with sharp, synthesized guitar reef along with powerful shouting during the dance break. Many also praise “MAMA”s live performance stages for its powerful and yet trendy synchronized choreography.

It turns out that the choreography of “MAMA” is done by world-renowned choreographer Lyle Beniga. Lyle Beniga collaborated with SM Entertainment‘s performance director Beat Burger for “MAMA.” Previously, he directed choreographies in films “Fame” and “Boogie Town,” and have participated in world tour concerts of famous pop artists like Usher and Christina Aguilera

Currently, EXO-K and EXO-M are pursuing their careers separately in Korea and China.
