MBC "Music Core" Face Technical Errors Two Weeks in a Row

MBC’s “Show! Music Core” had another broadcasting accident this week.

During the show’s episode on September 10, another broadcasting accident occurred during the first performance stage. Not long after the performance started, the screen blacked out for about five seconds, then quickly changed to a TV commercial. This could be seen as one of the worst broadcasting accidents. 

The performance that got cut off was “Rule Breaker,” the debut song of a four-member girl band, Sweet Revenge.  The band, made up of Kim So Young (main vocalist), Kim Mi Jung (guitar), Lee Hwa Yeon (bass) and Jung Hyun Ah (drums), has been receiving a lot of attention due to their high performances and skills, as well as their charming appearances. They are also known to be called the “SNSD of Hongdae” by some fans.

This is the second week in a row that “Show! Music Core” has had a broadcasting accident. On the September 3 episode, a two-second blackout also interrupted Chocolat’s performance of “Syndrome.”

However, blackouts are not the only problem that MBC has been encountering. Audio problems were reported in June and mistakes in screen transitioning had also occurred in January.
