This episode was definitely breathtaking, oh my! The revelations and plot twists were mind blowing, but what I really admire about City Hunter is that towards the end everything seemed to make a lot more sense to me! =) Of course, I dunno if that is a good thing or not! Anyways, on with the recap!

[Recap] CIty Hunter Episode 17

The president is asking if Yoon Sung is looking for an album. (The one that has JP and PMY’s picture.) Yoon Sung says that he was just looking around the area.

Yoon Sung helps the president with his computer and teaching him basic skills. Afterwards, the president invites Yoon Sung to a conference.

Nana is on the phone with Yoon Sung’s mother as she has received some handkerchiefs.

JP and Target Number Four are talking. JP is acting like he doesn’t know that Target Number Four stole the secret documents. JP even says that a theif stole something from his house once.

Target Number Four tells his bodyguard/assassin to get rid of JP after he takes all of his money.

The whole family is together, everyone is at the conference. The president is shocked to see JP.

Towards the end of the conference, paint balls are fired and everyone is shocked except for JP who casually eats his steak.

The president talks to Nana’s supervisor, and also asks Nana about the hankerchief he received. (He has one in his drawer, and our suspicions were correct, the president is Yoon Sung’s father after all! Uggh, so complicated, looks like Yoon Sung had three fathers.)

Yoon Sung’s mother almost runs into Target Number Four and his henchman, and then we learn about her past.

A long time ago Target Number Four had asked Lee Kyung Hee to have an abortion. We find out that in fact Yoon Sung is the president and Yoon Sung’s mother’s son.

JP talks to a picture of PMY (Yoon Sung’s mother’s husband) and he was willing to raise the son even knowing the fact. (So now it makes more sense, why JP would take the son away, Yoon Sung’s birth is very complicate so now it becomes more reasonable, for me atleast.)

Ki Joon comes into the communications office running, how there was a recent paint ball attack. Ki Joon states that he doubts he can stand having a bodyguard wife.

Yoon Sung leaves and he sees Nana walking to the restroom, while Nana thinks about Yoon Sung while she is washing her clothes.

The president is watching a movie and JP comes in, the two have a talk. JP, “I even thought about just forgetting, let’s understand if there was nothing that could be done about it, but looking at what your Group of Five has been doing, we died for nothing…Just wait, you’ll meet the present that I’ve sent you…”The president, “Why did you bring Kyunghee’s son…” JP doesn’t reply and leaves.

YJ is at his office trying to piece together the information he’s figured out, but his supervisor comes in with the information that he has just been demoted and is being moved to another office. YJ’s underlings come in with news about the City Hunter and still relay the information to YJ.

Yoon Sung is at Da Hae’s coffee shop, YJ arrives also. Da Hae is smitten by YJ’s good looks. (Yoon Sung seems a tad bit jealous?! Lol)

Nana hands a cup of coffee that Da Hae has made for the president.

As she is leaving, YJ was waiting for Nana and he goes to apologize about not telling her about being “Daddy Long Legs” or the truth about his father. Nana seems to understand.

Nana goes over to Sehee’s vet with soju! Nana has a lot on her mind and probably wants to talk about YJ. Sehee admits that she knew and that she was actually YJ’s ex-husband.

Yoon Suns is thinking about Nana when he gets a call from her, asking to take Nana home.

Yoon Sung talks to Nana who is sleeping, “What made you drink, me? I’m so stupid, huh. I tell you to let me go, but I can’t stand it. I can’t let you go to somebody else, but I can’t put you at my side either.” He touches her hair and says, “Kim Nana, don’t get hurt” and leaves. Nana opens her eyes. (I guess she heard everything?)

The president and Target Number Four are talking to each other. The president is asking about JP, Target Number Four asks to let a bill pass about privatizing insurance. The president asks Target Number Four to leave YJ alone, also that the president himself will reveal the news about “the wipeout plan.”

YJ is back at his office packing his things and about to leave when he learns from his supervisor that his demotion has been cancelled.

The two are at it again as they argue walking back into the office.

Yoon Sung is at the president’s office to tutor him about using comptuers, when he overhears him talking about YJ. The president laments about how difficult it is for him, because he has to make difficult choices.

Yoon Sung is inside of his car and meets with the ex-officer, who gives over all the information about where JP will be going and what he will be doing.

Target Number Four is on the phone when he learns that JP has set things into motion in order to destroy Target Number Four’s company.

JP and Target Number Four together are meeting senators, he is furious as JP is acting nonchalant.

Yoon Sung is on the move and inside of the locker room for all of the senators’ he is going through their stuff. He takes out a henchman in a cool mirror scene!

YJ has also arrived and knows that the City Hunter was here.

JP talks to the senators, then to the ex-officer, when he receives a call that there is a gas leak! (It’s Target Number Four’s bodyguard/assassin at it again.)

YJ calls Ki Joon and asks Yoon Sung’s whereabouts. Of course Yoon Sung is not at the office. YJ is asking a few questions to the people who work at the blue house. (Yoon Sung arrives on scene and is on the phone with the ex-officer, JP has tricked Yoon Sung!) Yoon Sung remembers that the call about a gas leak is actually just Target Number Four’s bodyguard/assassin.

YJ is threatening Yoon Sung that if he leaves now, that Yoon Sung is proving that he is the City Hunter. Yoon Sung goes off to JP anyways, and he ends up using Nana’s move against YJ! Nana’s supervisor is also beginning to get suspicious.
