SNSD's Tiffany Reveals Thoughts on Hallyu Wave for History Asia TV

SNSD‘s Tiffany recently spoke about her thoughts on the Hallyu wave as a growing global phenomenon in an interview with History Asia. She highlights the critical role of the Internet for delivering access to K-Pop outside out Asia, which has allowed for the Hallyu wave to sustain itself and bloom as it hits an unlimited audience.

Tiffany states, “The K-Pop has definitely become a bigger influence than it was like 5 or 10 years ago. so it’s exciting for music to be such a big part of culture here.”

She continues, “Thanks to the Internet, you know, not just Asia but all around the world. So it’s been globalized, and I think a lot of fans around the world are enjoying the Korean music because it’s easy to reach to, and it’s entertaining,” she ends with a laugh.

The interview is for one of History Asia’s specials, South Korea: A Nation to Watch. Though it is uncertain which episode Tiffany appears in, viewers may tune in to the program as listed here

In the meantime, SNSD has been busy in July with six concerts for their Arena Tour in Japan and Korea, and various broadcast performances in both countries as well.
