Son Dam Bi to Make Acting Comeback with "Light and Shadow"

It’s been a long wait for fans of Son Dam Bi, but they’ll all soon be able to see her back on their TV screens. The reason for the delay in her singing comeback was revealed to be none other than the fact that she was cast for a new drama role in MBC‘s upcoming 50th anniversary drama series, “Light and Shadow!”

“Son Dam Bi has confirmed her casting for the drama. We still have the schedule to work out but the producers and Son Dam Bi are holding positive discussions,” producers of the drama revealed on September 28. 

Son Dam Bi began her acting career in 2009 with SBS‘s “Dream.” She received mix reviews from viewers and the drama didn’t record that high in terms of viewer ratings. She’s ready to give acting another, though, with “Light and Shadow,” a drama that centers around the life of Korea’s first entertainer in the ’60s. 

She’ll be playing the role of the daughter of a politician named Jung Tae Hee, who uses her special privileges to her advantage. We wish her luck on her acting come back!
