Who Are the Tallest and Shortest Girls’ Generation Members?

Did you ever wonder who the tallest and shortest members of Girls’ Generation are? 

Well, recently a photo that gives a clue to that question was posted online. In the photo titled, “Girls’ Generation Height Order,” all nine members of the Girls’ Generation are seen lined up in order of height. The photo, taken during the filming of a bank advertisement, shows Sunny, Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Jessica, and Tiffany form the shorter member group, followed by Yuri, Seohyun, Sooyoung, and YoonA in the taller member group.

In particular, fans have taken notice of the wooden blocks each of the shorter members are standing on, in order to appear as the same height as some of the taller members. Also, contrary to common belief that Taeyeon’s the shortest member (partly for her “kko kko ma (shorty)” nickname) and Sooyoung’s the tallest (because of her popular long legs), it appears that Sunny and YoonA are the shortest and tallest members of the group.

Netizens commented, “This photo is too funny,” “Is Tiffany the most average height?” and “Their heights all differ, but their beautiful leg lines are the same.”

This should partly explain why the Girls’ Generation was grouped in the “short” category in a recent hierarchy chart of girl groups by height. You can view the full chart here!
