Wonder Girls Nominated in New Favorite Asian Act Category for Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award 2012

Nickelodeon announced today on February 17, the nominees for the milestone 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards. The Choice Awards is helmed by international superstar Will Smith and will be airing live from USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 31, at 8 p.m .

Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2012 will be the most global version yet with the introduction of localized international categories. Nickelodeon fans across North and Southeast Asia will be given the opportunity to support their regional artists by voting in an exclusive Asian category, Favorite Asian Act. Featuring four of Asia’s most popular music acts, first-time nominees Agnes Monica (Indonesia), Charice (Philippines), Wonder Girls (Korea) and Yuna (Malaysia) join the star-studded line-up of incredible artists from all corners of the world. 

In addition to Nick.com, fans can vote for their favorite stars beginning March 1 using a Facebook application that will live on the Nickelodeon Facebook page. Users will be able to vote from a tab on the page and, for the first time ever, the entire voting experience can be embedded directly into Facebook wall posts. Also new this year, fans will be able to vote for their favorite nominees on Twitter through the use of custom hash tags.
