2NE1’s $200,000 Outfits Exceed MV Production Costs

2NE1’s garnered much attention for wearing outfits in their “Lonely” music video that exceed the production cost of the video itself. Their stylish and flamboyant outfits are from Parisian fashion powerhouse “Balmain” founded by French fashion designer Pierre Balmain. Balmain, which has been one of the most trendy and hot label lately among luxury brands, have been beloved by worldwide musicians such as Kayne West, Madonna, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Michael Jackson.

With its exquisite design and exceptional detail, Balmain is also known to be Big Bang and 2NE1’s favorite fashion brand as well.

A representative claimed, “Balmain is extremely high-priced and a fashion brand that barely sponsors their clothing to celebrities. They usually only sponsor their outfits to fashionable actors for special occasions such as award ceremonies once in a while. However, they have been very favorable about sponsoring for the past few years for only 2NE1 among all musicians.”

It’s been revealed that the price tag of the outfits that 2NE1 featured in the “Lonely” music video was in total around $200,000. The total production cost of “Lonely” was around $150,000. So it turns out that the outfits that the girls sported exceeded the music video production cost.
