BTS And Ailee Top Gaon Chart Album Sales And Digital Rankings For First Half Of 2017

On June 28, Gaon Chart revealed their album sales rankings and digital streaming rankings for the first half of 2017 (From January 1 to June 17).

Boy groups dominated the album sales rankings, and TWICE was the only girl group to make it to the Top 10. Similarly, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon was the only solo artist to be included in the Top 10.

On the other hand, almost half of the “Digital Top 100” list was taken by the original soundtrack of hit drama “Goblin.” This is similar to last year’s Gaon Chart “Digital Top 100,” which was dominated by “Descendants of the Sun” OSTs. The “Digital Top 100” is determined by the number of streams and downloads.
