PENTAGON’s Hui Shares Excitement About His Song Being Chosen As Wanna One’s Title Track
On August 3, PENTAGON’s Hui expressed his excitement after learning “Energetic” was voted to be Wanna One’s debut title track.
Hui co-composed the track with Flow Blow, and also wrote the lyrics with his fellow PENTAGON member Wooseok. After the group released short teaser clips of “Energetic” and another song entitled “Burn It Up,” fans voted for “Energetic” to be the song through which Wanna One will make their debut.
Hui reacted to having his song chosen by sharing, “After ‘Never,’ it is really amazing and surprising to have ‘Energetic’ be chosen as the title song.” Hui’s ability as a composer was largely recognized by Korean producers after he wrote the song “Never,” which was released on “Produce 101 Season 2.” Having his song “Energetic” chosen as Wanna One’s debut title track marks a big step in his growth as a composer!
Hui continued, “While I was writing, all I thought about was music. I’m so happy because the time I spent working was not in vain. I want to thank Wanna One who worked so hard to record the song. Going forward, I will apply myself in all aspects to gain recognition as both a singer and a composer.”
Finishing off his sentiment, Hui ended by saying, “I will continue to create good music for everyone to listen to. I am so grateful to Gukyong and Hayi from Flow Blow who created this song with me. Please look forward to more music from Flow Blow and me.”
