Girls' Generation's Sunny And Hyoyeon, Takada Kenta, And More To Star On Short Track Variety Show
Channel A will be airing a new short track speed skating program!
“We Are Also National Athletes” (literal translation) is a special program where idols and other stars will take on the challenge of short track speed skating, one of Korea’s top winter sports. Lee Soo Geun will be the MC and Girls’ Generation’s Sunny and Hyoyeon, Kangnam, and Jeong Jinwoon will also provide support with their experienced variety skills. Tony Ahn and g.o.d’s Son Ho Young will lead the teams of stars including Sam Okyere, Takada Kenta, Teen Top’s Ricky, Berry Good’s Johyun, U-KISS’s Eli, model Lee Ho Yeon, HALO’s Ooon, and Kriesha Chu. 
Berry Good’s Johyun will especially showcase her strong talent due to previous short track experience in elementary school. She commented, “This program is for me. It really feels like a dream.”
“We Are Also National Athletes” is a boom-up project for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The two teams are currently receiving 3-week intensive training and will compete against each other in individual 500 meter and relay events on August 29. The program will air its first episode in September.
