January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings Revealed

On January 14, the Korean Business Research Institute announced this month’s ranking for brand reputation among boy groups.

The ranking is based on the analysis of consumers’ participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes for 112,053,324 pieces of big data on 50 boy groups from December 12, 2017 to January 13, 2018. This is a 24.08 percent increase from the 90,310,255 pieces of big data analyzed for the December ranking.

BTS rose to first place with a participation score of 4,958,448, media coverage score of 4,162,560, interaction score of 2,815,712, and community score of 4,903,056 for a total brand reputation score of 16,839,776. This is a 62.54 percent increase from their December score.

Wanna One took second with a participation score of 2,280,344, media coverage score of 4,379,648, interaction score of 3,368,621, and community score of 6,713,922. Their total brand reputation score is 16,742,534, a 43.92 percent increase from their December score.

EXO maintained their spot in third with a participation score of 1,467,752, media coverage score of 3,373,056, interaction score of 2,832,698, and community score of 3,696,602 for a total brand reputation score of 11,370,108, which is a 48.49 percent increase from their December score.
