"The Unit" Contestants Bid Farewell As BIGSTAR's Raehwan Enlists In Military

BIGSTAR’s Raehwan has enlisted in the military!

On February 5, he entered the training center of the 22nd Division in Goseong County, Gangwon Province.

Ahead of his enlistment, he held a special concert with friends and fans present on February 3. “The Unit” contestants including MYNAME’s JunQ and Seyong, A.cian’s Jungsang, BIGFLO’s Euijin and former member Z-UK, Kanto, B.I.G’s Heedo, MYNAME’s Chaejin, Lim Jun Hyeok, IM’s Hangyul, HOTSHOT’s Hojung and Timoteo, Boys Republic’s Suwoong and Sungjun, Daewon, and Lee Geon were spotted at the event, as well as his BIGSTAR members.

Lim Jun Hyeok, who played piano for the event, shared a photo of Raehwan and expressed his wish to make more music together when he returns.

Seyong posted a selfie with Raehwan and other contestants from “The Unit.” He wrote, “Return well, and don’t be sick! It’s a relief that I got to see your face. We got so close in a short amount of time, so I hate that we have to say goodbye. Stop crying, and you are someone that can show off your talents at any time and anywhere, so hwaiting!! I will cheer you on until the end.”

Fellow BIGSTAR member Feeldog uploaded a photo of himself holding a slogan that says, “Raehwan, you are my sea.” The caption reads, “Raehwan, you are our sea. I love you, my friend. I hope you will return healthily!”

Raehwan also took to Instagram to thank everyone that attended.

After the event, Feeldog surprised Raehwan with videos of the remaining male contestants on “The Unit” wishing him a safe service. He wrote, “This many people are cheering you on!” and “Don’t forget that you are someone that is acknowledged and loved wherever you go.”
