iKON’s Bobby Talks About YG’s Strict Rules For Its Artists, Including Dating Ban
On the next episode of MBC’s “Radio Star,” iKON’s Bobby opens up about life at YG Entertainment!
In the upcoming episode of the variety show, Bobby expresses his excitement over the success of iKON’s latest release. He also talks about his close relationship with YG Entertainment head Yang Hyun Suk, who has recently taken an active role in promoting iKON on social media.
Bobby reports, “I’m currently receiving a lot of interest from [Yang Hyun Suk],” explaining that his carefree attitude and unique fashion sense caught the YG founder’s eye. He goes on to reveal that Yang Hyun Suk personally picked out his outfit for his appearance on “Radio Star,” surprising the MCs and other guests.
The iKON member also discusses his agency’s increasingly strict rules for its artists. “There’s a dating ban, and even when we’re at our dorm and go across the street to the convenience store, we have to tell the agency,” says Bobby. “They don’t even let us meet up with the BLACKPINK members.”
According to the idol, YG Entertainment now has a rapidly growing list of regulations for its artists that didn’t exist in the past.
