Hyun Bin Confirmed As Male Lead In His First Drama In 3 Years
Hyun Bin will be making his return to the small screen!
The actor has been officially confirmed as the male lead of tvN’s upcoming fantasy melodrama “Memories of the Alhambra,” marking his first drama in three years after SBS’s “Hyde, Jekyll, Me.”
Directed by Song Jae Kyung of “W” and written by Ahn Gil Ho of “Stranger,” “Memories of the Alhambra” is about investment company CEO Yoo Jin Woo and the peculiar happenings that unfold when he goes to Granada on a business trip and ends up staying at an old budget hotel run by Jung Hee Joo.
Hyun Bin will be taking on the role of Yoo Jin Woo, who has a natural talent for developing games and holds a PhD in engineering. With his sharp instinct, he hates to lose any deals, no matter how small, and has a strong adventurous as well as competitive spirit. His life ends up going in a direction he never expected when he jets off to Granada for business even when his personal life is in shambles after his best friend betrays him.
The drama’s producers commented, “Because Hyun Bin is an actor who has both chic looks and a warm demeanor, we believe he is the perfect actor to play Yoo Jin Woo, who requires someone who can take on both action and melodramas.”
“Memories of the Alhambra” is set to premiere in the second half of 2018.
