Lee Joon Gi And Seo Ye Ji Work Together On Their First Investigation For "Lawless Lawyer"

Lee Joon Gi And Seo Ye Ji are full of charisma as they work together on their first investigation for “Lawless Lawyer.”

“Lawless Lawyer” is about lawyer Bong Sang Pil (played by Lee Joon Gi), who uses his fists and knowledge to fight loopholes and stand in court to battle for justice. As a former gang member, he is driven by his desire to get revenge for his mother.

In the newly released photos, Lee Joon Gi actively uses his fists for justice. He is seen fighting various gang members, with many of them surrounding him. Though he is drenched in sweat, he looks composed as he fights them.

In regards to his role, Lee Joon Gi commented, “I have a lot of ambition towards action, so I wanted to show the types of action scenes that I haven’t shown before. I started to learn jiu jitsu recently, and I really got into it because of its fancy and rhythmical moves. I wondered what would it be like to integrate jiu jitsu into action scenes, so I asked the director and he readily accepted it. We were able to make action scenes using jiu jitsu, so please look forward to them in ‘Lawless Lawyer.'”

The next set of photos show Lee Joon Gi and Seo Ye Ji as they work on their first case together. Seo Ye Ji plays the bold, reckless lawyer Ha Jae Yi. Though the two may bicker, they both turn serious as they get absorbed into the investigation.

The two actors also talked about working with each other. Lee Joon Gi shared, “I’m normally confident that I’m a pretty energetic person, but after working with Ye Ji, I realized that there is an actor who is more [energetic] than me. Ye Ji may look slender, but she’s actually got a strong side to her. Even though the action scenes are hard and exhausting, I’m thankful that she always approaches me first and works with me.”

Seo Ye Ji commented, “Joon Gi is always flying around on site and never sitting down. Sometimes I ask him, ‘Where are you getting all that stamina from?’ and he answers, ‘The strength to my stamina is red ginseng.’ He seems to really love red ginseng. It makes me want to eat some, too. It surprises me that he’s so passionate.”

“Lawless Lawyer” will air its first episode on May 12 at 9 p.m. KST after “Live” comes to an end.
