Here Are The Shows Canceled This Week Due To 2018 Inter-Korean Summit

With the 2018 inter-Korean summit taking place on April 27 between President Moon Jae In of South Korea and Kim Jong Un of North Korea, there have been some changes in the regular television schedule.

The three major networks (MBC, KBS, and SBS) are focusing on the 2018 inter-Korean summit, airing special broadcasts and newscasts instead of their regular dramas and variety shows.

Find out what changes to expect below!

Wednesday, April 25

MBC’s “Radio Star” will not air an episode this week due to the “2018 Inter-Korean Peace and Cooperation Initiative Pyongyang Concert We Are One” (literal translation) airing at 11:10 p.m. KST.

The same concert will be broadcast on SBS, but their Wednesday-Thursday drama “Switch” will air as scheduled.

As for KBS, the special inter-Korean summit documentary and broadcasts will air only on KBS 1TV, so the shows on KBS 2TV, including “Suits” and “Happy Together,” will still air at their usual time.

Thursday, April 26

Due to the airing of a documentary and special news broadcast, MBC’s “A Daughter-in-Law in Wonderland” and “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets” have been canceled as well.

Friday, April 27

On the day of the 2018 inter-Korean summit, there will be special live broadcasts and newscasts. As a result, MBC’s “I Live Alone” and “On the Border” have been canceled.

SBS’s “Law of the Jungle,” “Baek Jong Won’s Alley Restaurant,” and KBS 1TV’s daily drama “Love Returns” will not air new episodes this week.

However, airing as scheduled are JTBC’s “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food”; TV Chosun’s “Bowling Legends”; KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank,” “Entertainment Weekly”; and MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Hold Me Tight.”
