Yoo Seon Ho Shares His Advice For “Produce 48” Trainees, Talks About PENTAGON’s Jinho, And More
Yoo Seon Ho of “Produce 101 Season 2” passed on some advice to the contestants on the upcoming Mnet survival show “Produce 48,” and also talked about one of his labelmates that he receives advice from.
The Cube Entertainment singer recently made a solo debut with his mini album “Spring, Seon Ho,” including the title track “Maybe Spring.”
In an interview with the news outlet SE Daily, Yoo Seon Ho was asked to compare what it was like performing on “Produce 101 Season 2” with his current experience as a solo singer.
“It’s difficult to fill up a large stage on my own,” he replied. “The intro and interlude of ‘Maybe Spring’ are really long so I was also embarrassed. I just stood there without moving, but at the same time it’s not a song where moving around is a good fit either. So I looked at the fans, but then the director said that if I just looked at the fans that wouldn’t be good. So I tried my own way of looking at the camera and then looking up at the ceiling.”
When the interviewer mentioned that they’d heard PENTAGON’s Jinho had come to support Yoo Seon Ho at his first broadcast, Yoo Seon Ho replied, “Jinho is my vocal teacher. PENTAGON had a busy schedule where they had to do pre-recording at 11 and then right away go to Japan, but in the early morning he came with the other PENTAGON members and gave me a lot of advice. He also is always leading me so that I can improve the things that I’m lacking. I have to be really nice to him.”
Yoo Seon Ho’s promotional period also overlapped with the promotions of his fellow “Produce 101 Season 2” contestants Ahn Hyeong Seop and Lee Eui Woong. “I’m really close with them,” said Yoo Seon Ho. “It was great because there were two people that I could talk to in that unfamiliar place.”
In June, the new season of the “Produce 101” series will begin with the premiere of “Produce 48,” featuring female trainees from Korea and Japan.
When asked to give advice to the contestants as someone who’s already been in their position, Yoo Seon Ho replied, “I think the time when I was on ‘Produce 101 Season 2’ was the most tiring and difficult time in my life so far. But I think that during all of that, if you work hard and do your best, there will be a clear good result. No matter what the result is, I hope that you will show everything that you can show.”
“Produce 48” will premiere on June 15, and the first set of profiles for the contestants was recently revealed.
