“Lawless Lawyer” recently released stills of Seo Ye Ji and Baek Joo Hee going through a tense exchange.
In the photos, Seo Ye Ji appears startled at a sheaf of documents that Baek Joo Hee hands over. The two actresses play daughter and mother on the show, who met recently at a memorial service of a mutual acquaintance. The two of them have been separated for 18 years, which means that Seo Ye Ji didn’t recognize her birth mother.
The stills show the mother and daughter meeting at Seo Ye Ji’s law firm, though what business drew her there remains to be seen. Baek Joo Hee keeps a steady gaze on her daughter, though at the memorial service she was quick to look away and escape.
