Highlight's Yang Yoseob Reveals Why He Decided To Start Taking Vocal Lessons Again

On the latest episode of MBC’s “Radio Star,” Highlight’s Yang Yoseob talked about his decision to begin taking vocal lessons again.

During the June 20 broadcast of the show, host Kim Gura mentioned that even though Yang Yoseob was well-known as the accomplished main vocalist of Highlight, he was still working hard to improve his voice by attending a vocal academy.

Yang Yoseob confirmed, “Yes, it’s true. There was a time when I stopped attending out of arrogance, but about a year or two ago, it occurred to me that the vocal cords are muscles. I need to keep using them, or else.”

As the hosts fervently agreed, Yang Yoseob continued, “Even when I’m not working, I make sure to go. There’s a difference between practicing on your own and having a teacher guide you in the right direction. How you practice is important too.”

Host Yoon Jong Shin remarked approvingly, “Yoseob is thinking about his future. It’s best when a singer is able to continue singing for a long time.”
