Block B's Zico Reveals He Wants To Produce Music For BLACKPINK

Block B’s Zico talked about his crew and wanting to work with BLACKPINK on MBC’s “Radio Star.”

In the July 18 episode, Zico made an appearance on the variety program alongside Yoon Sang, Kim Tae Won, and Urban Zakapa’s Jo Hyun Ah.

When asked about FANXY CHILD, Zico explained, “It’s a crew. It’s like a gathering for making music together.” He then listed some of the FANXY CHILD members including Penomeco, Crush, Dean, Stay Tuned, and Millic. Zico clarified, “It’s not the idea of a label, and it’s a crew.”

The MCs then asked if it’s true that the crew members only talk about girl groups when they get together. He answered, “It’s one of the many topics of conversation. For example, we talk about how we feel and then naturally say like, ‘Oh, this girl group’s song is good these days.'”

Zico named TWICE and BLACKPINK as the girl groups who were recently brought up in their conversations. The much sought-after producer was then asked about artists that he wants to produce music for.

“BLACKPINK,” he answered. “I feel like we can make something really fun. Their atmosphere is very hip and melodic. They can do all of that, so I think I could do a good job if it happened.”
