Voting has began for the TalkTalk Korea contest! This global event will run from July 25 to August 30 to determine the ranks of the entrants who have advanced to the first main round of TalkTalk Korea 2018, an international contest organized by the Korean Culture and Information Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea.
Under the slogan of “Find Korea in Your Country,” entrants were invited between May 16 to June 28 to submit a piece of creative work. It attracted a total of 32,345 works, an indication of the ongoing popularity of the Korean Wave.
Fifteen participants were selected through expert screening in each of the five categories – K-food, K-beauty & style, K-music & drama, Other (Hanbok, Hangeul, taekwondo, etc.), and the Special Subject (Peace on the Korean Peninsula) – for a total of 75 works in the first main round. They will undergo four rounds of online voting over the next five weeks on a survival basis, and the top five will be selected based on a combination of scores by online voters and expert judges.
First-prize winners, one in each category, will be invited to visit Korea this October. They will have an opportunity to tour the DMZ and the Blue House, visit the set of a K-pop TV program, and meet K-pop celebrities in person.
Online voting is open now at www.talktalkkorea.or.kr! Make sure to vote for a chance to win various prizes, such as a hanbok, WINNER’s albums, and Hanguel t-shirts. You can cast a vote once a day per submitted work, and those who vote more will have a higher chance of winning these prizes.
