Creating A Day-To-Night Look Inspired By HyunA

Beauty influencer Hillary (@hyulari) makes it easy to take your day makeup into night, inspired by one of K-pop sexiest stars, HyunA. Whether in daylight or under the neon lights of a club, you can look as stunning as HyunA with Hillary’s easy makeup tutorial.

Daytime Look

STEP 1. Use the MAC Strobe Cream in Pinklite for your primer to make your foundation glow and look more dewy. You can just use your hands to apply it to your entire face.

STEP 2. Mix two foundations together to achieve the flawless look HyunA is known for. You can use the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation in SPF 15 and Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation. Dab the mixed foundations on the contours of your cheekbones and use a sponge to blend it into your entire face.

STEP 3. Boy brows help to frame the face and bring attention to your features. To achieve this look, use Glossier Boy Brow in brown and brush up your eyebrow for a more natural arch.

STEP 4. You can use a concealer like the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage to cover your dark spots.

STEP 5. Keep your eye makeup simple for the day by just focusing on your eyelashes. After you curl them, apply a base layer to your top lashes using the Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara.

Lengthen your lashes using a mascara like Creer Beaute’s Versailles Oscar Long & Film Mascara, which has more fibers in its brush, and apply it to the edges of your lashes.

For the more difficult bottom lashes, use a mascara with a thin wand like the L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara.

STEP 6. You can look even more like HyunA by drawing in her trademark beauty marks. Using an eyeliner like the Flowfushi Mote Liquid Eyeliner in Brown, place a small dot under your eye on your left cheek. HyunA also has a beauty mark on the lower right side of her face, closer to her mouth.

STEP 7. Contour your nose with Kevyn Aucoin’s The Sculpting Contour Powder in a shade darker than your foundation. Brush the powder along the side lines of your nose to give it more definition.

Use a highlighter like the Dior Diorskin Nude Luminizer and brush it in at the tip of your nose and the bridge.

STEP 8. For HyunA’s trademark dramatic lips, use Dior’s Rouge Dior Liquid in No.999.

Nighttime Look

STEP 1. For nighttime, lay it on. Bring attention to your eyes by using the Latte color in the Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette and applying it to the center of your eyelids.

Use the darker Fireside color and apply to the outer “v” of your eyes. With the same shade, outline the outer half of your bottom lashline to complete the “winged” look.

STEP 2. With a thinner pencil brush, use the same Fireside color from the Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette to deepen the inner corner of your eyes and lengthen your eyes.

STEP 3. Mix the Latte and Cozy color from the Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette on your hand and apply the blend to the rest of your bottom lashline to complete the warm, smokey look.

STEP 4. Use an eyeliner like Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Nude and draw in the corner of your lower waterline. Then use your concealer brush to blend it out.
