BIGBANG Tops Weekly Oricon Charts With Newly Released Concert DVD

After only a week since its release on August 17, “BIGBANG Japan Dome Tour 2017 – Last Dance – : The Final” has topped both Oricon’s weekly DVD as well as Blu-ray charts.

It was previously reported how the concert DVD topped Oricon’s daily charts as soon as it was released.

The concert DVD features BIGBANG’s Japanese dome tour that occurred last year before G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung enlisted. Along with concert footage, it shows clips of members backstage, their thoughts on their loyal fans, interviews that look back at the group’s history, and documentary material.

BIGBANG holds the record for being the first foreign act to hold a dome tour in Japan for five consecutive years. Last year, they saw 696,000 concertgoers in total across 14 concerts in four different cities. Their immense popularity is evident considering in the last five years, in dome tours alone, they had approximately 4.2 million fans attend their concerts.

With the exception of Seungri, the other members are currently serving in the military. Seungri proved his popularity when his first solo tour in Japan “SEUNGRI 2018 1ST SOLO TOUR THE GREAT SEUNGRI IN JAPAN” garnered so much interest he added two additional dates in Osaka.

In addition, as previously reported, fans will have a chance to see BIGBANG’s G-Dragon through his new documentary, “Kwon Ji Yong Act III: M.O.T.T.E!” The documentary will be available on YouTube Premium on September 5.
