Super Junior's Heechul Revealed To Have Participated In New Album, But Will Not Perform At Music Shows

Super Junior has announced that Kim Heechul will not be participating in their music show performances for their upcoming comeback.

On September 21, Super Junior surprised fans by releasing individual teaser images of Heechul for their new mini album “One More Time.” The group had previously stated in July that Heechul would be sitting out their next comeback due to health issues, explaining that he had not joined his bandmates for the filming of their music video in Macau and would not be recording for their upcoming album.

However, along with the release of Heechul’s teaser photos, Super Junior’s agency SJ Label announced that Heechul had ended up taking part in their comeback preparations after all.

A representative of the agency explained, “Although Heechul was unable to join [the group] in Macau due to health issues, he did participate in the additional filming for the music video that took place in Korea, as well as the album jacket [photo shoot].”

The representative clarified that Heechul would still be sitting out Super Junior’s music show performances, stating, “Only seven members—Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, and Ryeowook—will be appearing on music shows.”

Super Junior will be releasing their new mini album “One More Time,” consisting entirely of Latin pop tracks, on October 8 at 6 p.m. KST. The group will also be releasing the B-side track “Animals” and its music video on September 27 at 12 p.m. KST, ahead of their official comeback. Check out their latest teasers here!
