IZ*ONE's Yabuki Nako, Miyawaki Sakura, And Honda Hitomi To Feature On New Single Before Hiatus From AKB48 Group

IZ*ONE members Yabuki Nako, Miyawaki Sakura, And Honda Hitomi’s last activity with the AKB48 group before their hiatus has been announced.

On September 24, AKB management as well as IZ*ONE’s agency Off the Record announced that the three Japanese members would be halting all AKB48 Group activities for two years and six months until April 2021, and will be focusing completely on their activities as IZ*ONE.

AKB management also unveiled the selected members who will make up the line-up (referred to as senbatsu) of AKB48’s upcoming 54th single “NO WAY MAN” through a live broadcast on September 24.

Miyawaki Sakura will be the center for the track, with Yabuki Nako and Honda Hitomi next to her. This will subsequently be the trio’s last activity as HKT48 and AKB48 members respectively until 2021. They will reportedly only record the single, and will not participate in any following promotions.

Several other “Produce 48” contestants have also been selected for the upcoming single: Shiroma Miru, Takahashi Juri, Miyazaki Miho, Shitao Miu, and Takeuchi Miyu.

This is notably Honda Hitomi’s and Shitao Miu’s first time being selected for the A-side of an AKB48 single, and will be Takeuchi Miyu’s last one before her graduation from the group.

AKB48’s “NO WAY MAN” will be released on November 28.
