“Lovely Horribly” Sees Small Rise In Viewership Ratings With Dramatic Episode Finale
KBS drama “Lovely Horribly” has seen a positive trend in its latest viewership ratings!
On September 26, Nielsen Korea released the viewership ratings of the shows that aired the previous day. The September 25 episode of “Lovely Horribly” garnered ratings of 2.0 percent (Part 1) and 3.2 percent (Part 2) nationwide.
This is an improvement from its previous episode, which got ratings of 1.0 and 2.2 percent and set a personal low for the drama. This drama is one of the few regularly programmed shows that is airing during the Chuseok holidays in South Korea, and the September 25 ratings are closer to its average than those of September 24.
The drama took the opportunity offered by the holidays to ramp up the plot and the episode ended with Park Shi Hoo facing down a truck coming at full speed. Viewers were full of speculation after the broadcast, wondering whether Yong Man (Ahn Doo Ho) was planning something, expressing shock at the final scene, and asking questions about how the events of 8 years ago tied into the current storyline.
In the same time slot, MBC’s Chuseok special for “I Live Alone” got ratings of 7.9 and 7.1 percent, while SBS aired a movie, “Midnight Runners,” that got 8.3 and 10.4 percent.
