Watch: PENTAGON Performs On "Immortal Songs" For The First Time
On October 6, PENTAGON made their very first appearance on KBS’s music variety program “Immortal Songs”!
The theme of the episode was “beautiful songs loved by Korea,” and PENTAGON was the first artist to perform. The members expressed their excitement at being on the show, remarking, “Today is the first time that all of us are appearing on a public broadcast network [variety] show together.” Jinho added, “Since it’s our first appearance, we want to show [viewers] what kind of group PENTAGON is.”
Hui revealed that the group had put a lot of thought into preparing for their performance, saying, “We watch ‘Immortal Songs’ a lot. We also saw that a lot of skilled senior artists would be appearing on the show, so we thought a lot about what kind of performance to prepare.”
He continued, “We noticed that there were some formulas [to succeeding on the show]. First, there needs to be a sing-along part, and at the end, there needs to be a strong ad-lib. So we prepared our performance with those kinds of things in mind.”
PENTAGON then performed their own version of Kim Wan Sun’s classic hit “Pierrot Smiles at Us.”
Afterwards, Yeo One gave an endearing shout-out to his family, explaining, “On weekend nights, my family gathers together to watch ‘Immortal Songs.'” He then turned to the camera and said, “Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, and Dad, I’m on TV!”
