BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” Wins Best Dance Video Award At MTV VMAs In Japan

On October 10, BLACKPINK attended the MTV VMAJ 2018 -THE LIVE- awards ceremony at Shinkiba Studio Coast in Japan.

The group was nominated for and won the Best Dance Video award with the song, “DDU-DU DDU-DU.” The members also performed on stage, as the fans congratulated their win with intense cheering.

During the interview, Jennie said, “We are honored to receive this award. Thank you.” Rose added, “We are feeling the love and support from many people nowadays. We want to repay our fans with better music.”

The worldwide popularity of “DDU-DU DDU-DU” can be seen through the fact that it was the fastest K-pop group music video to reach 400 million views. BLACKPINK started their first Japan tour in July, and will be the first foreign girl group to perform at the Osaka Dome in December. The group’s first Seoul concert will take place on November 10 and 11.
