Apink's Jung Eun Ji Talks About IU's Appearance At Her Concert And Potential For Collaboration

Apink’s Jung Eun Ji and IU’s friendship is still going strong!

On October 14, IU made a guest appearance at Jung Eun Ji’s solo concert “Hyehwa Station” in Seoul. The two singers teamed up for a cute duet version of IU’s song “Dlwlrma,” after which IU delighted the crowd by performing her hits “Good Day” and “Through the Night.”

IU also spoke highly of the Apink member during the concert. She told the audience, “Jung Eun Ji is such a friendly and sociable person, and she’s great at being the one to approach people first. She approached me so warmly that we ended up becoming same-age friends.”

Two days later, Jung Eun Ji mentioned in an interview that she was incredibly grateful to IU for taking the time to perform at her concert. “I really wanted to recruit IU [for my concert] no matter what,” she said. “But to be honest, because IU was in the middle of preparing her album, I wasn’t sure that she would agree to my request. However, she said yes right away.”

Jung Eun Ji went on, “IU and I made a deal. We said that she would appear at my concert once, and I would appear at her concert once.”

She also expressed strong interest in collaborating with IU in the future. “If IU said, ‘Let’s do it,’ I would be thrilled,” said Jung Eun Ji. “I love the emotions in IU’s [music]. I also really love the song ‘Cat’ by Sunwoo Jung-A and IU. I think it would be great if I could collaborate with IU.”

Jung Eun Ji is currently preparing to make a solo comeback on October 17 with a brand-new mini album, while IU released her latest single “BBIBBI” last week.
