Red Velvet's Seulgi Confirmed To Appear On Yoo Jae Suk's Upcoming Variety Show

Red Velvet’s Seulgi will be appearing in Yoo Jae Suk’s new variety show “Kids These Days” (literal translation).

On October 26, JTBC’s official variety show channel released a recruitment video for the upcoming variety show. In it, Seulgi introduces herself, saying her name, occupation, and that she’s a member of Red Velvet. She then dances it out in a bedroom with her pajamas, does her nails, eats ramen, and more. She shares, “But in the end, I’m also a ‘Kid [Of] These Days.’ Off the stage, I’m just like anyone else in their 20s.” She concludes by encouraging kids these days to show their life on the show.

“Kids These Days” is about the differences and similarities between adults these days and kids these days. The kids will produce videos which the adults will watch, then spend a special day with the teams whose videos interest them. The show has previously confirmed Yoo Jae Suk, Ahn Jung Hwan, HAON, and Han Hyun Min to appear as celebrity representatives of adults and kids these days. Seulgi will be representing a kid these days on the show, revealing her life as a person in her 20s.

The chief producer behind “Kids These Days” is Yoon Hyun Joon, who is behind many of JTBC’s popular variety shows such as “Crime Scene,” “Sugar Man,” “Hyori’s Homestay,” and “Let’s Eat Dinner Together.” He has previously worked with Yoo Jae Suk on “Happy Together” and “Sugar Man.” Producing director Lee Chang Woo of “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” will also be leading the show.

“Kids These Days” will air its first episode in November.
