"The Show" Responds To Rumors Of Longguo's Departure

SBS MTV’s “The Show” has addressed reports that Longguo (Kim Yong Guk) is stepping down from his position as MC.

On November 19, a Korean media outlet reported that Longguo was leaving the music program and that Golden Child’s Bomin would be filling in as special MC on this week’s episode. Longguo previously cancelled a fan event last week after being swept up in both dating rumors and a controversy regarding his pet cat.

However, a representative of “The Show” later clarified in an interview with news outlet DongA.com that nothing had yet been decided.

“It’s true that Bomin will be serving as special MC on this week’s broadcast of ‘The Show,'” stated the representative. “However, nothing has been decided in regards to Longguo’s departure.”

Longguo also sat out last week’s episode of “The Show,” with JBJ95’s Sanggyun stepping in as special MC.

The next episode of “The Show” will air on Tuesday, November 20 at 6:30 p.m. KST.
