WINNER Describes Upcoming Single "Millions" And Expresses Confidence
On December 19, WINNER held press interviews ahead of their upcoming single “Millions.”
This will be the group’s second comeback this year following “Everyday” in April.
Kang Seung Yoon introduced the track, sharing, “I made ‘Millions’ wanting to create a hopeful song. At first I wanted to say that everyone has millions of reasons to be loved. Don’t you feel that there are a million, or a million, vaguely? While writing it, it became more lovable than my original attention, so I was very satisfied after completing it.”
He revealed, “At first, it had more of a summer vibe. It is more lively than ‘Really Really’, but I wanted it to have more depth in the beginning. It was trendy like our usual vibe, but it was made into a warm and lively song. Whenever we come back, we are getting older, but we feel that the our music is getting younger, so we are very satisfied.”
Kang Seung Yoon continued, saying, “The timing of the release was delayed because of the editing process. Eventually, the current version of ‘Millions’ was born. We were also worried. It is a cheerful and exciting song, so we wondered if it would suit winter, but there is Christmas in December, and there are many exciting songs during the holidays. With that kind of vibe, we thought it would be good to give a warm feeling at the end of the year in winter, so we are releasing it with confidence.”
He emphasized, “2018 may have been a happy year for many people, or it could have been a difficult one for others. It will be good to end the year in a good mood, and I think it will make people feel happier. I believe it will be a song that will allow you to end the year happily and welcome the next year with joy. This will be the reason for people to listen to it.”
Song Mino said, “In the winter, ballads or easy-to-listen music honestly comes to mind. Although this was not the aim, it is a song that can be listened to instead of carols and lift moods.”
“Millions” will be released on December 19 at 6 p.m. KST. Check out the teasers here!
