Update: Hong Soo Hyun's Agency Responds To Breakup Rumors With Microdot

After several months of dating, actress Hong Soo Hyun and rapper Microdot have reportedly gone their separate ways.

On December 21, news outlets reported that the two stars had split after slowly growing apart from one another. According to the reports, an industry insider who claimed to have knowledge of the couple’s relationship stated, “After Microdot’s controversy, the two grew apart, and they eventually ended up parting ways. They will not be spending the year-end holidays together.”

After appearing together on Channel A’s fishing variety show “The Fishermen and the City,” Hong Soo Hyun and Microdot publicly announced their relationship in July of this year.

Four months later, Microdot stepped down from “The Fishermen and the City”—along with all of his other programs—after his parents were accused of fraud. At the time, Hong Soo Hyun’s social media accounts were flooded with hateful comments related to Microdot’s controversy.

The actress also recently faced questions about the issue at the press conference for her new variety show “Seoulmate 2,” to which she responded, “I have no comment. As this conference was held for [‘Seoulmate 2’], I’d like to talk about matters related to the program.”

Meanwhile, the police recently requested that Interpol issue a Red Notice for Microdot’s parents, who are currently citizens of New Zealand.

Hong Soo Hyun’s agency has responded to the reports of her breakup with Microdot.

On December 21, an agency representative told media outlet Newsen, “Hong Soo Hyun is currently abroad on vacation. The situation makes it difficult for us to confirm whether the reports of a breakup are true.”
