EXO's Suho And Chen Praise Each Other And Kai
On the latest episode of “Idol Radio,” EXO’s Suho and Chen didn’t hold back in expressing their love and appreciation for one another!
The two EXO members appeared on the MBC Standard FM radio show on December 20, where they talked about their title track “Love Shot” and their recent promotions. While discussing Suho’s experience starring in the recent musical “The Man Who Laughs,” Chen mentioned how hard Suho had worked to pull off his busy schedule.
Chen explained, “The schedule for Suho’s past two musicals overlapped a lot with EXO’s activities and preparations. Even with his busy schedule, whenever we all got together to practice, he would work just as hard as everyone else, even though he must have been tired.”
He added, “When we were practicing our choreography, he worried that he was falling behind because of his exhausted state, so he even stayed behind to practice on his own after rehearsal. He’s also been writing lyrics.”
Later on in the show, Suho described Chen as “the kindest person out of all the people I know,” while Chen referred to Suho as “a passionate guy—the most diligent person out of all the people I know.”
During a later segment in which the idols were asked to send a heartfelt message to someone, Suho chose to address his bandmate Kai.
“To Kai, who is sleeping [at home] right now, I’d like to say thank you,” he remarked. “When I was unable to practice [EXO’s choreography] much because of my musical, Kai helped me a lot through private lessons, and he personally took the time to help come up with the choreography for my part in [our new song’s] second verse. He’s a dongsaeng [younger brother] for whom I’m really grateful.”
Suho went on to joke, “I’m sincerely grateful to him, but he keeps asking me to buy him meat. He keeps asking if I have a present for him, since it’s the end of the year and the Christmas season. I’ll secretly prepare something on my own, so please stop asking.”
Meanwhile, Chen chose to dedicate his message to EXO-L [EXO’s official fan club name]. “To our [EXO-L], who spent all of 2018 waiting for us, welcoming us, and embracing us, you waited a long time, right?” he asked. “I’m sure you waited a long time. Although there was a long break [before our comeback], you never failed to show up at our pre-recordings early in the morning, even though we’re in the middle of a cold winter.”
“Whenever I arrive at work at dawn and see all of you standing in line at the broadcast station, I feel so grateful and so apologetic,” continued Chen. “I think, ‘If we had [made our comeback] in the summer, at least it wouldn’t have been cold. At least you wouldn’t have had to wait so long.'”
He went on, “Thank you so much for being with us throughout our promotions for ‘Tempo‘ and ‘Love Shot.’ We will also work hard to repay you through our performances at the remaining year-end shows, so that our [EXO-L] can feel proud of EXO, so that your hearts can be filled with pride. Thank you. I love you.”
EXO made a comeback last week with their repackaged album “Love Shot,” which has since topped both domestic album charts and numerous iTunes Top Albums charts in countries all over the world. Check out the music video for their new title track here!
