Watch: BTS Shares Unforgettable Moments From Receiving Orders Of Cultural Merit In New Video

BTS gifted fans with a video from behind the scenes at the 2018 Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards!

All seven members of BTS were awarded with Hwagwan Orders of Cultural Merit at the ceremony in October, becoming the youngest recipients in history. The annual ceremony presents awards from the government to artists in various fields who have contributed to the development of popular culture, and Orders of Cultural Merit are the highest honor.

The video takes fans all the way through BTS’s experience receiving their Orders of Cultural Merit, including getting ready backstage, walking the red carpet, and meeting other award recipients including actors Lee Soon Jae and Kim Nam Joo, and television personality Jun Hyun Moo. The members also received clips as recipients of Orders of Cultural Merit, which they affixed to their lapels.

BTS is shown in the audience during the ceremony, and then they take to the stage to be awarded with their Orders of Cultural Merit in turn and they each shared their comments.

Later backstage, the members celebrated with their trophies, and laughed over how RM and V had got their trophies switched around so they had the wrong names. Jimin said, “I never imagined we’d receive this kind of award,” and said his face had been shaking with nerves.

Jungkook said, “It’s an honor for our families, and I think it’s an unprecedented moment.” RM added, “I had so many emotions today.”

J-Hope thanked their fans, saying it’s all because of them. “This Order of Cultural Merit also belongs to you,” said Jin with a laugh. V held out his trophy and said, “I’ll give this to you! If you look closely, it looks like a heart.”
